Installation
============
The build-in browser is based on Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4 or later
(MSIE 4+). If MSIE 4+ is not installed on the PC, the browser function will be
blocked, and the rest of HTMLCleanUp will work normally.
If installing from disks, copy the disks to a temporary directory and continue
from point 3 below.
HTMLCleanUp must be installed by means of the setup.exe (see point 4 below) in
order to update the Windows registration database properly.
1. Copy the zip file to a temporary directory.
2. Extract the files from the zip file to the temporary directory.
3. Close all other programmes (MS Windows Explorer may remain open).
4. Run the setup.exe file. Answer the questions during the installation.
5. After the installation, the temporary directory may be deleted. However, we
recommend you to move the original zip file to the final directory of
HTMLCleanUp in order to make it possible to reinstall HTMLCleanUp later on.
HTMLCleanUp is written in MS Visual Basic 6 Pro, and the Visual Basic 6 runtime
files and other .dll's needed are included in the package and will be installed
properly, incl. updating the Windows registration database.
If you have any problems with the installation or discover other bugs, please
notify us by e-mailing prc@prc.dk. Please include your carefully checked e-mail
address in the text, so that we can come back to you with further questions (if
needed), and send you the solution. Always include the following information:
- Windows version, for example "Windows 95/USA with USB support."
- Microsoft Internet Explorer version - if any, for example "MSIE 4.01/English."
- Processor and RAM, for example "Pentium II 233MHz, 32 MB."
- A description of the problem. You may attach your HTML files (MIME, BinHex or
UUEncoded) if relevant. Also please include the Error message(s) if any.
The latest updated version and updated single files will always be downloadable
from http://www.prc.dk/software/.
Installation from disks
=======================
The data file (.cap) has been splitted in two in order to make it possible to
copy the files to two 1.44MB disks, e.g. for backup or in order to make an
installation on another PC. In that case...
"Disk 1" must include
Setup.exe
Setup.lst
Hcu321.cab
"Disk 2" must include
Hcu322.cab
ReadMe.txt
If you install directly from the disks, you may be asked to "Insert disk 22".
In that case insert "Disk 2".
